If you instruct your solicitor online or without a prior face to face meeting, you can cancel within 14 calendar days and receive a full refund of any money you have paid your solicitor in respect of fees where no legal work has been carried out. Any money paid for third party costs and incurred by the solicitor on your behalf, e.g. searches, will not be refunded.
Once you instruct, your allocated solicitor will call you as soon as possible, explain the next steps in the process and send you a client care pack.
If your solicitor commences the legal work within the  14-day period you can cancel the service and your initial payment on account will not be refunded but will be transferred to your next conveyancing transaction with the same solicitor (e.g. when you purchase a different property).
