Online is growing in popularity
Of those who bought in the last year, 57 percent used a local solicitor compared to 73 percent between three and 10 years, reflecting the growing popularity of online providers such as Homeward Legal.
Crucially, 59 percent now get more than one quote before instructing a solicitor or specialist conveyancer, compared to just 24 percent in the past.
